Augmenting the Organ on major feast days includes brass and timpani players, and sometimes even a baroque chamber orchestra. Professional soloists from local and Australian opera companies are special highlights of baroque mass settings at Christmas and Easter.

Some highlights of the liturgical year include music on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Great Easter Vigil, Feast of St Peter and St Paul, Mary – The Mother of our Lord, Christ the King, Festival of Lessons and Carols for Christmas and Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve.

The Choir of St Peter's sings at the Sung Eucharist on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month and at occasional special services. On special occasions a visiting choirs program includes The Cathedral Singers and The Jacobean Singers.

The Annual Music Program includes the finest artists and sacred masterpieces. Orchestras including The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and Brandenburg Choir continue to support our music program.

The congregation are great supporters of the arts and this is reflected through the continuous congregational use of Anglican Chant, Sung Eucharist Settings and fine Hymn singing from a number of contemporary and traditional sources. Our Music program focuses on prayer and spirituality.
